Minab - Peace 4 Iran
"Every morning, a gun falls on the mountain
and we are but silent witnesses"
-Abbas Baydoun-
Our Story
In the wake of the American-Israeli war of aggression against Iran, which erupted on February 28, 2026, we - the founders of Minab - found ourselves united by a single, unwavering conviction: we could not stand idly by. Driven by a deep love for humanity, and an unshakable commitment to justice for our people, we chose to raise our voices in collective resistance.
We carry the name “Minab” as a sacred remembrance - a tribute to the 168 innocent souls, majority of them children, who were killed by the gruesome US-Israeli attack on an elementary school in Minab. Our name is not just a memorial; it is a vow. A promise that this crime against humanity will never be forgotten, and that we will continue to speak truth to power until justice prevails.
We firmly reject the old imperial tendency to simplify the complex political realities of the Global South. We know that the people of Iran are not a monolith, and we are committed to representing the nuance, dignity, and diversity of our lived experiences.
